Chapter 136 A Tense Duel

All eyes turned to the elevator simultaneously. Then Baron appeared, followed by James.

Leon was suddenly stirred to excitement to see Baron. “Mr. Owen!” he screamed, with a surprised

expression on his face. Baron was his last hope. Maybe his leg could be saved!

Baron set his eyes on Jerome’s face. Jerome, in his 40s, was dressed in a black suit and wore a

necktie and a Rolex, with a formidable appearance. He looked like Walter. Baron was pretty sure they

were brothers.

At the same time, Jerome stared back at Baron. He did not know Baron but he recognized James!

Everybody in Cona knew James, for he was on a roll right now.

Half a month ago, with the help of a mysterious figure, he had risen from obscurity to being a big

winner! He had completely replaced Karson to control half of the entertainment places in Cona.

But now James was slavishly at a young man’s side. The very unusual behavior seemed to illustrate

that it was most likely that the young man was the mysterious figure.

“Let me guess, you are the guy who bought the Domom SPA from Jimmy!” Jerome asked quietly.

“Yes, the contract has come into effect. So, you can’t take that back,” Baron replied calmly.

But his manner angered Jerome. He had long been surrounded by yes men and everyone held him in

high esteem, but today, Baron was an exception.

He looked at Baron with many changes of expression and tried to control his anger.

“Hey, good buddy! Let me formally introduce myself. I am Jerome and am from the Wilson family,”

Jerome said gently, but his tone made his arrogance clear.

After hearing his self-introduction, all employees were speechless with shock, especially Leon, for he

had given one of the Wilson family a shove just a moment ago. And now he was overcome with fear.

The Wilson family was among the top 4 families in Cona. They were far more powerful than people

assumed. The common people usually tended to keep at a respectful distance from the Wilson family.

But to everybody’s surprise, Baron was not afraid of Jerome’s identity, and even his expression hadn’t

changed. “I’m not interested in you and your Wilson family! You can’t take the Domom SPA back, no

matter who you are,” he said coldly.

Others were frozen as they heard Baron’s reply, even including Jerome. He grew hot with rage. He was

the heir to the Wilson family, and for this reason, he was one of the most powerful men in Cona.

Everyone scrambled to flatter him! He had never been treated like this!

Jerome got very upset, but he tried to keep his anger under control. “Could you tell me who you are

now?” asked Jerome tentatively.

Jerome managed to restrain his anger, which surprised Baron too.

“You don’t need to know. Just remember, don’t mess with me!” Baron replied.

Baron didn’t want to let Jerome go easily, so he got straight to the point, “You’re in my territory, and

your men hurt my lobby manager. What are you going to do with it?”

James stood beside Baron quietly. When he heard these words, his heart almost stopped! In fact, he

knew nothing about Baron. But today Baron embarrassed the Wilson family openly, which could be a

demonstration of his great power.

“So, what do you want me to do?” Jerome shot back.

Jerome did not become angry, as long experience had taught him not to take any actions until he had

done a complete background check of his enemies.

He was more cautionary than Walter, and because of that, he was much loved by his father Randy and

became the heir to the Wilson family.

Baron didn’t answer Jerome. He turned to look at Leon and said, “Go and find the jerk who hurt you

just now, Leon! Treat him exactly the same way he treated you!”

Leon looked slightly taken aback but he decided to do as Baron said without any hesitation. He was

afraid of the Wilson family before, but today was quite different. He was supported by Baron, which

made him bolder.

At this thought, Leon’s expression grew fierce. His leg would be nearly broke by one of Jerome’s

guards. He walked towards that guy.

Baron was pleased with his performance. Leon was a security guard and was brave. Baron thought

Leon could be given a more important post.

As Leon went towards one of his guards, Jerome’s face went an ugly black. He knew Baron was

deliberately trying to humiliate him!

Leon got in front of the guard, his eyes narrowing as he fixed on his prey.

The guard wasn’t scared at all. He rolled his eyes and said, “Go on! I dare you! Your boss is just a good

for nothing bum!”

Jerome kept silent. He just was standing there and watching it, waiting patiently for Baron’s reaction.

Leon was really, really nervous now and didn’t know what to do next. He could even feel cold sweat

Watching this scene, James opened his mouth, but no sound came out, because the look in Baron’s

eyes stopped him.

Now, all eyes were on Leon. All of them wondered if Leon would dare to hit Jerome’s men. Leon was a

lobby manager, but the Wilson family was among the top 4 families in Cona. Nobody thought he would

offend Jerome for Baron.

But to everyone’s surprise, Leon straightened his back and said without fear, “Let’s make it clear! You

guys stirred up trouble in this Domon SPA, and I am Domon SPA’s lobby manager. How can I just sit by

and do nothing?” His face looked stern, which was very different from before.

As these words were spoken, Leon suddenly punched the guard in the stomach. The pain was so

sharp that the guard bent in agony. The guard’s face contorted, but he forced it into an awful smile.

“You bastard! Go to hell!” The guard said and straightened up. He clenched his fist tightly and raised it.

The fist was aimed straight at Leon’s temple!
