A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 111 Sending You A Dress

“Paityn…” Ranita was about to say something when an unwelcome voice interrupted her – someone whom Ranita least wanted to see.

“Ranita and Paityn, what are you two talking about?” Shannon came hand in hand with Holly who seemed happy after seeing Ranita being harassed by others. Holly had an adorable smile on her face, “Paityn, long time no see! I’m curious about what you’re talking about with Ranita. Can you tell us?”

Paityn bluntly replied, “We’re discussing this blue velvet dress.”

“I was just thinking of sending Miss Bowman a new dress so that she won’t be without formal attire.”

Holly giggled while covering her mouth, “You’re right Paityn! Ranita, if you don’t have anything decent enough then I can also send one over but wearing fake clothing like this is really shameless!”

Her words were full of disdain.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Holly please don’t say things like that… I think Ranita probably didn’t mean it! After all these types of clothes are rare and not everyone knows how distinguish them from fakes. She must’ve been fooled by someone.” Shannon spoke softly but sounded more like mocking than defending Ranita’s lack of fashion sense.

“Ranita, you’ve been working with Brendon for years, and even if you don’t want to take credit, you deserve it. If we’re going to give a gift dress, it should definitely be from me. Don’t bother Paityn!” Shannon paused and pulled out her phone.

“Actually, I have a brand new dress in the trunk of my car that was sent to me as a gift. I’ll have Cindy bring it up for you to wear instead.”

If Ranita actually changed into the new dress, wouldn’t that mean she acknowledged that her blue velvet skirt was fake?

Paityn chimed in with excitement, “Miss Bowman, you’re so lucky! Thank Miss Murphy for being so kind!”

“Miss Murphy is truly beautiful and kind-hearted! I really like her!”

Ranita was speechless.

These people were too annoying! Not only did they assume things about her but also forced her to change out of something she wore willingly or unwillingly.

“Ranita, thank Shannon,” Holly raised an eyebrow at Ranita smugly. “Remember this favor because not everyone is as kind-hearted as Shannon.”

Ranita calmly responded, “Are all three of you done talking? Well then let me say this directly – I won’t change my skirt! Excuse me now; I have other things to attend to.”

Seeing that Ranita didn’t appreciate their gesture, Paityn immediately turned hostile, “Miss Bowman, you really don’t know how good people are!”

After saying this, Paityn suggested towards Shannon, “Miss Murphy, let’s not bother with such people anymore since they don’t even feel embarrassed themselves.”

“You three are indeed meddling too much,” said Ranita without wasting any more words before walking away while holding onto the skirt.

Recently having lost appetite due to stress, she ordered a glass of lemon water hoping for some peace, but realized Holly had been following her around throughout the celebration party!

Holly had always been unpredictable and could cause trouble anytime, which made Ranita anxious about getting into conflict with Holly.

So without stopping anywhere else, she went straight back Mrs. Cather’s side.

Shannon’s combination with Brendon made them stand out among others at the celebration party which attracted many admirers sending them best wishes. And Brendon seemed content accepting all those compliments quietly without any objections from his side.

Not wanting to dwell on these thoughts anymore; hearing all those noisy voices around made Ranita’s red lips purse involuntarily, making her heart restless beyond measure.
